The Rocky Mountains. Stunning. Picturesque. Yet, they hold much more than what meets the eye. Their 76 million years old! And their highest peak, Mount Albert in Colorado, is 14,440 feet high! That’s like half of Mount Everest! They were formed by a subductions zone of the North American plate and a number of other smaller plates. The Rockies run through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, And New Mexico. That’s six states in total!
(We had to shorten it from 5 minutes to 30 seconds for wordpress to allow, so it is a little short. We are sorry because we had a lot of other awesome content, but sadly it had to be discarded.)
