TikTok is a video sharing social media platform where users create and post short videos that can be up to 1 minute long, on any topic of your choice (most of them are about music). TikTok has a separate app for China, known as Duyin (made by a company called ByteDance), which has over 300 million active monthly users. TikTok is a place that has grown in popularity for younger audiences in 2020. But why?
Firstly, the app is very convenient, it is very easy to edit and upload content in TikTok. TikTok has simplified video creation and sharing and taken it to the next level. Users simply have to record anything from their daily routines and post them instantly. Due to the short format, neither creating the videos nor watching them takes much time or effort. Secondly, the videos start as soon as the user opens the app and the videos play non-stop so the user can get lost in fun entertaining, and addictive content. Also, they have an AI (Artificial Intelligence) to recommend content similar to what the users have viewed before.
