A light frigid breeze ruffled the bushes at Valley Forge. We had been starving for days here. Our feet are all broken and bloody ever since we broke them weeks ago. But, still, we hold our hope. We fight firm and strong. Little do those redcoats know, we have been training up with Baron Von Steuben and learning how to be a real army. But, these training practices take up quite a lot of energy because Baron Von Steuben is crazy for bayonets. But since they take up quite a lot of energy, and there is one tonight, I think I should have gone hunting for some food yesterday. But, I guess I would have to go scavenging today. I wrapped some cloth around the places where it was bleeding on my feet, and I ventured into the forest. The forest floor offered no protection from the snow here. There was more of it in the forest. I took a cursory glance at my surroundings and I found something red. I saw that it was a dragon berry. You should not eat a dragon berry ever, because it makes you deathly sick. So I passed those berries over. I ventured deeper into the forest and I found some pinecones. I was hungry enough to eat them for the sap that they had inside. However, I wanted to find something better, so I went deeper into the forest and I saw a bunny rabbit hopping about. I raised my gun and I shot. That night we had the best dinner of our time at Valley Forge because we had fresh meat and we all completed Baron Von Steuben’s training exercises with ease.
