King Kong vs. Godzilla
By Anvi Atreja
Last Friday, my family and I watched “King Kong vs. Godzilla.” King Kong is a giant gorilla who has a connection with a native girl. King Kong lives on an island, while Godzilla, a snake-dragon kind of creature, roams in the oceans. The problem is Kong and Godzilla are both Titans. This means they constantly fight each other. Godzilla can shoot a red type of fire from her mouth, while King Kong can crush almost anything with his fist. In the movie there are three groups of people. One group makes a mechanical Godzilla, which provokes the real Godzilla into damaging cities. The second group tries to stop Godzilla from causing destruction. This group is made up of two kids and a grown-up, who loves whisky. The last group, which includes the native girl, tries to help King Kong enjoy his world. Because neither can talk, Kong and the girl communicate by using hand signals.
The final battle happens in Hong Kong. Kong shoves Godzilla down but gets paid back by a knock from Gozilla. Godzilla stands on Kong’s chest till his breathing slows. Fortunately, the native girl senses this just before his breathing stops, She and her team reboot him. Meanwhile, before Godzilla gets to celebrate, the mechanical Godzilla gets loose. They fight till midnight. Eventually the real Godzilla starts losing energy. Kong awakes, and sees the exhausted Godzilla. The native girl convinces him that Godzilla isn’t the enemy and instead mechanical Godzilla is. Kong joins the fight, soon the mechanical Godzilla is winning. Just as it seems as though all hope is lost, the two kids pour their supervisors whisky on the mechanical Godzilla’s engine. Just in time the mechanical Godzilla turns off. Godzilla and Kong become friends and the world becomes peaceful once again. I liked this movie because it has a lot of action and teamwork. What I don’t like about it is how there was the mechanical Godzilla could beat both of them.
